There's lots to report.

It's been a busy couple of weeks for Community Comics.

First, on February 6th I (Ben) will be a guest on WNIT's Open Studio. WNIT is the northern Indiana area's PBS station and Open Studio is a local interest show that features local people. I got to talk about the comic book work I'm doing, both with Community Comics and The Hedge Knight (a project I'm working on for Roaring Studios, to be published through Image). They asked me about the process of making a comic and I also got to talk a little about my faith and how that affects my work. It was a lot of fun. It will air at 8:00 on channel 34, WNIT and reair on Sunday, February 2, at 1:00.

Meanwhile, work on Larson Street Kids #3 is almost completed. Really, all that's needed is a cover (and a cover artist). This is easily the best LSK book yet, and it marks a new direction for the comic.

And then there's the new Megaunity Challenge that just went out. About 39 writers and artists have paired off to do an eight page story, using the Bible as the source material. The challenge "ends" March 1st. Most of the teams will be done by then. It looks like it'll be a great project.

Finally, work is wrapping up on the first superhero project from Community Comics -- CAPES. The art is finished. The lettering is being worked on as we speak. This project is one that we have been prayerfully working on for a number of months, and it's exciting to see it finally all coming together. We still need to raise the funds to print this book (it will be a giveaway on a grand scale!), but things are moving. It's quite exciting.

Please keep us in prayer. It's an exciting time for Christian comics, and we are all honored that God is allowing us to be a part of it.

Ben
