Off to San Diego

This year at the San Diego comic book convention there will be lots of exciting things happening.

There will be special guests. Lots of signings. Movie previews. Panel discussions.

And Hero TV (formerly known as CAPES) will be making its big debut.

Community Comics artists Sherwin Schwartzrock, Bud Rogers, Jesse Hamm, and Eric Jansen will be there, proudly giving it to whomever wants to get their hands on a copy. Because it's free.

Yes. A full color, full length, self-contained comic book adventure. And it's free. (You can thank the men and women who donated their time, energy, talent, and money for that.)

Add to that Chosen Mortals #1, which begins a three part story about Absolom and his vengeful rise to power, also making it's debut in San Diego . . .

And Larson Street Kids Parables #1, The Samaritan, which made its debut in Detroit but which will also be available from the Community gang at San Diego . . .

Well, it's easy to see that we at Community Comics are quite excited.

What's that? You're not going to San Diego, but you still want a copy?

Patience. We will soon be adding a shopping cart to our website and you will be able to order all of our Community Comics titles . . . Timepiece, Hero TV, Chosen Mortals, The Larson Street Kids 1-3 and more will be available for you to order from your living room (so long as that's where your computer is). And we'll still make it easy for you to order the old fashioned way: sending a check through real world mail. (We at Community Comics respect our U.S. Postal service too much to call it "snail mail".)

Meanwhile, we hope you enjoy our new weekly online comics selection. We're getting a jump-start. The comics we're posting right weren't going to be posted until Sunday, but we wanted to get a sneak peak at what we're doing.

Have a good weekend. Enjoy the show if you're there. If not, well, enjoy whatever it is that you're doing . . .
